These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all travel services, packages, bookings, and related dealings provided by TourEast Travel & Tours (Pte. Ltd.), a licensed travel agent under the Travel Agents Act in Singapore. By making a booking or engaging our services, you (“the Customer”) agree to these Terms.
1. Licensing & Compliance
1.1 We hold a valid Travel Agent Licence issued by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) under the Travel Agents Act.
1.2 We comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines in Singapore including but not limited to Travel Agents Regulations.
2. Booking & Payments
2.1 To confirm a booking, a deposit (amount as specified in your invoice) is required.
2.2 Full payment must be made by the due date stated in our invoice. If payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
2.3 Payment methods accepted: [e.g., bank transfer, credit card, online payment]. Any bank charges, fees, or currency conversion charges are to be borne by the Customer.
3. Prices & Inclusions
3.1 The price quoted at time of booking includes only what is expressly stated in the itinerary/package (e.g., flights, accommodation, specified meals, transfers).
3.2 Prices are in [Singapore Dollars / currency] and subject to change prior to payment due to fuel surcharges, airline/tax adjustments, currency fluctuations, or other unforeseeable costs.
4. Cancellation & Refunds
4.1 All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
4.2 Cancellation fees apply depending on how many days before the departure you cancel. (Specify: e.g., more than 30 days before, 50%; 14–29 days, 75%; less than 14 days, 100%.)
4.3 No refunds for unused services, late arrival, early departure, or non-utilization of package components unless specified.
4.4 Refunds (where applicable) will be processed in Singapore, under our usual refund procedures and timelines.
5. Charges & Fees for Changes
5.1 Changes requested by the Customer (itinerary, date, name) may incur fees. These are subject to airline/hotel/supplier policies.
5.2 If changes are made by us (due to force majeure, supplier changes, etc.), we will try to offer an alternative of similar standard.
6. Travel Documents & Visas
6.1 It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that all travel documents (passports, visas, permits, health certificates) are valid and meet requirements for all countries involved.
6.2 We are not responsible for delays, fines, denial of entry, or extra costs arising from lack of proper documentation.
7. Health, Safety & Insurance
7.1 Customers should ensure that they are physically and medically fit for travel. Please consult a physician if needed before departure.
7.2 We strongly recommend travel insurance covering medical emergencies, damage, cancellations, baggage/flight delays, and repatriation.
7.3 We accept no liability for illness, injury, or death that occurs during the travel unless directly caused by our proven negligence.
8. Liability & Force Majeure
8.1 We act as agent for third-party service providers (airlines, hotels, transport companies). We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, or default.
8.2 We shall not be liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, pandemics, government action, flight delays/cancellations, or any force majeure event.
8.3 Our maximum liability to the Customer for any loss or damage shall not exceed the total cost paid by the Customer for the affected service/package.
9. Customer Behaviour & Fitness to Travel
9.1 Customers must behave in a manner that does not cause nuisance, danger, or discomfort to others. We reserve the right to remove any Customer from a tour or service for inappropriate behaviour.
9.2 If a Customer is unfit physically, mentally or for any reason cannot partake in the tour, we may refuse or cancel their participation. No refund will be provided in such cases, unless stipulated otherwise.
10. Complaints & Claims
10.1 Any complaint during the travel should be reported immediately to your tour guide, local representative, or us, so corrective action can be taken.
10.2 After returning, all claims or complaints must be submitted in writing within [e.g., 14] days of the end of the package or service. Delayed claims may not be accepted.
11. Changes to Terms & Conditions
11.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
11.2 The version applicable to your booking is the version in force when you made the booking.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
12.2 Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the services shall be resolved through negotiation. If unresolved, parties may submit to the competent courts in Singapore.
